Lutheran services in the Grayland-Tokeland area began with Rev. Hove from Our Savior’s of Aberdeen holding services in the North Cove School. A Ladies’ Aid was organized in 1945, and Sunday School was held in the schoolhouse. On March 8, 1953 Dr. Foss, President of the North Pacific District of the ELC, held a service at which 36 children were baptized.
